touching adj.  动人的；感人的

例如：

This is the most touching story I have ever heard.这是我听到过的最动人的故事。

touch  v. 触摸；感动；触及；接触  touched   adj.感动的

例如：

Don't touch the paint until it's dry.  油漆未干, 切勿触摸。

His sad story touched(v.) our heart. 他的悲惨的故事深深打动了我们的心

探究二：

Whoever drank this could live forever,

这句话里的主语是Whoever drank this

whoever   pron. 无论是谁； 任何人=no matter who

例如：

Whoever wants the book may have it. 谁想要这本书都可以拿。

I'll take whoever wants to go.   谁要去我就带谁去

探究三：

lay out  摆开；布置    

(1)lay  v. 放置；安放；产(卵)；下(蛋)

例如：

You may lay it on the table. 你可以把它放在桌子上。

‚You can't feed a hen in the morning and expect it to lay in the afternoon.   

      你不能期望上午喂鸡, 下午就生蛋。

(2) lay 、place与put  

lay指小心地把人或物平放或横放，侧重动作安稳。

‚place较正式用词，指把某物放在一个正确的位置上，侧重动作的正确。

ƒput普通用词，含义较广泛。指把人或物置于某处，并将其留在该处。

(3) 辨析 lay、 lie

lay   laid   laid   laying 放置；安放；产(卵)；下(蛋)

lie   lay    lain   lying   躺

lie   lied   lied   lying   说谎

admire sb. for sth.

因为某事而仰慕某人

例如：

I admire you for your courage. 我敬佩你的勇气。
